On behalf of the Trustees, staff, and all those engaged in Catholic education across Sussex, the Sussex Catholic Education Trust warmly congratulates Archbishop-Elect Richard Moth on his appointment as Archbishop of Westminster by His Holiness Pope Leo XIV.
Archbishop-Elect Moth has served with distinction as Bishop of Arundel and Brighton since 2015, and previously as Bishop of the Forces, bringing deep pastoral care, committed leadership, and a steadfast witness to the Gospel throughout his ministry.
We are profoundly grateful for his support as our Patron and for his longstanding commitment to Catholic education. We give thanks for his generosity of spirit, his dedication to faith formation, and his tireless advocacy for Catholic communities. We pray that his tenure in Westminster will be marked by wisdom, compassion, unity, and a renewed vitality in the mission of the Church in England and Wales.
We assure Archbishop-Elect Moth of our continued prayers and support as he prepares for his installation on 14 February 2026.
